Pesach [Hebrew:פסח], often called Passover,[1] is the Jewish holiday celebrating the biblical escape from Egypt.

The festival begins on the 14th of Nissan. In Israel there is one day festival [חג], five intermediate days [חול המועד] and the 7th day is also a holiday. In the diaspora, there are two day of festival, four intermediate days and another two days of festival.
