Maxime Saada is the Chairman and CEO of CANAL+ Group, Chairman of Studiocanal and Chairman and CEO of Dailymotion.[1]. Maxime Saada is also a member of the Vivendi Management Board[2].
Born in June 1970[3], Maxime Saada is a graduate of the Sciences Po|Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po - 1992) and holds an MBA from HEC (1994)[4].
Before entering the media world, Maxime Saada began his career in 1994 in the United States within the North American branch of DATAR[5] (France’s Inter-ministerial Delegation of Land Planning and Regional Attractiveness) where he was responsible for the promotion, prospecting and oversight of American investments in France.
In 1999, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Company[6] where he became Associate Principal in 2004 with an industry focus on TMT (Telecom Media and Technology) and financial institutions, and a functional expertise on post-merger and asset management.
In 2004, Maxime Saada was appointed EVP Strategy of CANAL+ Group[7], where he would later join the board of directors and oversee consumer studies for the entire Group.
After contributing to the merger with TPS[8], he successively held the positions of Marketing Director, Head of CANALSAT and Commercial Director[9].
He was then promoted to Executive Vice President of CANAL+ Group[10] in charge of Pay TV distribution in France in January 2011, and as such in charge of sales, marketing and all customer relationships.
In April 2013, he was appointed Executive Vice President of CANAL+ Pay TV France[11], where he oversaw all programming of CANAL+ channels and editorial aspects of CANAL+ offers.
In July 2015, he became Chief Executive Officer of CANAL+ Group[12]. In this role, he supervised all activities of CANAL+ Group, including CANAL+ France, CANAL+ International, and Studiocanal.
In January 2016, he was also appointed Chairman and CEO of Dailymotion[13].
In February 2018, he became Chairman of Studiocanal[14].
In April 2018, he also became Chairman of CANAL+ Group’s Management Board[15].
In June 2022, Maxime Saada became a member of the Vivendi Management Board[16].
Sciences Po Paris: Maxime Saada served for six years on the Board of Directors of Sciences Po Paris (2006-2013) where he taught Corporate Strategy for twelve years[17] [18]
