Mahokhar is a small village of 2168 hectares in Banda Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahokhar depends on Banda (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mahokhar's pin code is 210001[4], and village code is 04795100. The area of Mahokhar is segregated as 906 hectares irrigated area, 1499 hectares unirrigated area. the 16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 171 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Mahokhar has One post office (Mahokhar B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Mahokhar has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mahokhar is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 10578 and has total administration over 1855 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 3546 (33.52%) males constitute 1923 (18.18%) of the population and females 1623 (15.34%).

According to a census 2011 report, 3550 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 2945 male, 605 female with 2656 (74.82%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2378 males and 278 females. 750 males and 55 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 635 male and 151 female agricultural labor. 894 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banda (MB) and Banda to sell basket and make their living.
