Ballot initiatives 2022 total 137 measures, of which 129 are on ballots on Election Day in November.[1] More than $1 billion was spent campaigning for or against these ballot initiatives.

Colorado has 11 initiatives and Alabama has 10. Overall, including pre-Election Day initiatives held earlier in 2022 and Louisiana's held in December, a total of 37 states have at least one ballot initiative in 2022. Many of the pending initiatives are spending related, such as authorizing the issuance of new bonds for a particular purpose or granting authority to some governmental entity to spend money on something.
