American Legislative Exchange Council

From Conservapedia

American Legislative Exchange Council or ALEC, is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting state legislators while they work to promote free market policies. The groups mission is to advance the Jeffersonian principles of free markets, limited government, federalism, and individual liberty. Also, they develop policy making for both political parties which is necessary for a free society.

Liberalism[edit]

The liberal organization Color of Change, created by former Obama czar Van Jones, has decided to attack ALEC for their support of Voter ID laws. They are targeting companies to distance themselves from ALEC. ALEC has also been attacked for supporting stand-your-ground laws, and for accepting donations from the National Rifle Association and other corporate sponsors.[1]
