Peace

Peace, a river of western Canada. rises in the Rocky Mountains near 55° N., and breaking through the mountains, flows N.E. into Slave River, near lake Athabasca. The district between 56° 40' and 60° N., and between 112° W. and the Rocky Mountains is usually known as the Peace River district.
