Squaw

Squaw, the anglicized word for woman among the North American Indians; the Massachusetts Indian form is squa or schqua, the Narraganset squawo, the Cree eskwuo, Delaware ochqueu, khqueu, &c. It is also used in composition with names of animals to denote the female.
