Flower Mound is a city in Texas, a suburb within the DFW Metroplex and located north of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
The city takes its name from a prominent geological mound (named "The Flower Mound") in the south-central part of the city. The mound is owned by a non-profit so as to prohibit development on it (the mound is totally surrounded by houses and commercial buildings along with one church); the ownership allows the mound to host an Easter Sunrise Service annually.
The Village Church, a prominent Reformed Southern Baptist congregation, has its main campus in Flower Mound.
