Cultural Heritage Sites

From Conservapedia

Cultural Heritage Sites are man-made sites, monuments or groups of buildings which can be seen as a witness to the civilizations that occupied them and their architecture, way of life, beliefs and social organization. In recent years, the definition of a cultural site, which had previously been limited to religious monuments and those relating to political authority, has been extended and now includes structures such as dwellings, workshops and small shops. Similarly, the period considered to be worthy of interest now includes the 19th and 20th centuries, and buildings such as railway stations and factories are now also regarded as cultural heritage sites, offering evidence and insight not only into the architecture but also the economic and social life, and the history of technology.[1]
