Kentucky: In multi-county jurisdictions, Kentuckians voted for Circuit and District Court judges on Tuesday. Only races with more than three candidates are reported on, since the two candidates receiving the most votes will advance to the general election.

Circuit Courts[edit]

  • 17th Circuit Family Court: Richard A. Woeste won the most votes in the contest, with 52.88%. Next was Gayle Hoffman, with 29.42%.[1]
  • 25th Circuit Family Court: Nora J. Shepherd won 39.88% of the vote, while Ira Newman received 24.53%.[1]

District Courts[edit]

  • District 18: Charles W. Kuster, Jr. received 44.72% of the vote, while Peter Newberry came in second with 34.6%.[1]
  • District 21: William Roberts received 41.81% of the votes, while Keen W. Johnson won 32.71%.[1]
  • District 22: Maria Ransdell handily won the most votes, with 52.41%. Next was Kim Wilkie, with 29.96%.[1]
  • District 23: With 59.23% of the vote, William Leach coasted to victory in the contest. He will face William Trude in the fall, who won 29.94% of the vote.[1]
  • District 30: Stephanie Pearce Burke won 50.59% of the vote, leading her opponent in November, Mason Trenaman, by almost 20 percentage points.[1]
  • District 40: Scarlett B. Latham was Tuesday's victor, with 42.79% of votes. Next was Larry E. Rogers, with 31.39%[1]
  • District 45: Oddly, Steve Lamb and Brian Crick both received 33.66% of votes, or 4,054. They will advance to face each other in the fall.[1]
  • District 47: Kevin R. Mullins handily won the most votes in his contest, with 55.06%. His opponent in the general election, James A. Hubbard, won 33.16%[1]
  • District 54: Rick A. Brueggemann and Jeff Smith will compete in the general election, after winning 29.51% and 23.43% of the vote, respectively.[1]
