The Little Princess (Tract)

From Conservapedia

The Little Princess is a religious tract written by Jack Chick. It was originally printed in 1998, and remains an in-stock title. It is listed on their website under the subject "Halloween" and also tagged as "Older Children and Adults".

The tract tells of Heidi Spencer, a young girl (around age 7 based on the final scene) diagnosed with a terminal illness. She has one wish before she dies: to go trick-or-treating on Halloween (dressed as a princess). She also asks her parents if they know what happens after death: they reply they do not and that likely no one does.

Heidi is able to fulfill her wish, but while out she faints. She asks to visit one more house, that of the Smiths, new to the neighborhood. The Smiths give her candy and a tract [1], and begin praying as they recognize she is in trouble.

Heidi reads the tract and trusts in Christ, she then asks her parents to call the Smiths over. She tells the Smiths what she has done, then tells her parents that the Smiths know what happens after death. The Smiths explain the Gospel to the rest of her family, all of whom accept Christ. That night, she passes away.

In the final scene, her brother places her Halloween princess crown on her tombstone, saying "My little sister is in Heaven because she trusted Jesus. What about you?"

  1. Though Chick considers Halloween to be demonic, he encourages his followers to engage in the tradition of passing out candy, along with a Chick Tract. Also, it is common for Chick within one of his tracts to publicize another of them; in this case the tract featured is "Happy Halloween".
