Saroha is a small village of 139.1 hectares in Ramsanehighat Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saroha depends on Rudauli (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Saroha's pin code is 225409[4], and village code is 05828700. The area of Saroha is segregated as 10.82 hectares irrigated area. and remaining 6.569 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saroha has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Saroha is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 348 and has total administration over 65 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Saroha has 74 children, 39 boys and 35 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 309 (88.79%) males constitute 165 (47.41%) of the population and females 144 (41.38%).

The workforce is 117 male, 39 female with 111 (71.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 93 males and 18 females. 13 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 79 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 45 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rudauli (MB) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
