Heilongjiang

Heilongjiang is the northernmost province of China, in the north-east of the country ('Manchuria'), bordering Russia. It is named after the Heilongjiang river ('Black Dragon River'), which marks its northern boundary. Heilongjiang has an area of 405,000 square kilometres and a population of around 38 million. The capital city is Harbin.
