The Georgia General Assembly Elections Amendment, also known as Amendment 12, was on the ballot in Georgia on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The measure would have provided for an independent general assembly by electing the members at a different general election than the one in which the governor is elected.[1]
