People from Venezuela are called Venezuelans, and they are the citizens of the nation of Venezuela. This relationship may be made by citizenship, descent, or through shared cultural experiences. The majority of Venezuelans have at least some of these links, if not all of them, which serve as the basis for their citizenship in Venezuela or their ties to the country.
Many people in Venezuela do not equate their nationality with their ethnicity because the country is so diverse and multilingual and because it is home to a melting pot of people with a variety of different origins. As a result, many Venezuelans view their nationality as synonymous with citizenship or allegiance. Between the years 1820 and 1930, Venezuela was hit by a significant influx of 2.1 million European immigrants, making it the third most populous nation in Latin America behind Argentina and Brazil in terms of the number of Europeans who settled there.
