The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, currently in its fifth edition, is a compendium, edited by the American Psychiatric Association, of mental disorders and diagnostic criteria. It has grown in size significantly over the years and has undergone some major revamps, perhaps most notably between the second and third editions.
