Newbury is a town in Berkshire, England. It is situated on the River Kennet to the west of Reading and has a population of about 32,000. It is part of a conurbation totalling about 60,000. [1]

A major employer in Newbury is the mobile phone company Vodafone, which employs about 4,000 people.

Newbury is close to the M4 motorway and has a railway station on the line to London Paddington station.
