London Tower Bridge

From Conservapedia
Tower Bridge in London.

London Tower Bridge, also referred to simply as the "Tower Bridge", was built in the 19th Century. Carrying the A100 road the bridge spans the River Thames over the Pool of London and links the area of Bermondsey (south of the river) to the Tower of London and the City (financial district). Tower Bridge is famous because the span of the bridge is in two sections. These sections can be lifted vertically to allow ships to pass. Open or closed Tower Bridge is beautiful.
