Pushes in half-a-dozen states to legalize marijuana kicked into high gear in January 2010, as a a State of Washington Legalization measure was filed, 60,000 signatures were turned-in on an Oregon Medical Marijuana Supply Act, and advocates of legalizing cannabis in California announced that they have their signatures in hand for the November ballot.[1]
Meanwhile, state legislators in California, Washington and Oregon have introduced legislation to loosen restrictions on pot, and activists in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada and South Dakota pursue various different ways to make access to cannabis easier.
