Real Wages

Real wages are individual earnings after adjustment for inflation. The growth or decline of real wages is perhaps the single best indicator of the economy.

In the United States, real median weekly earnings for males aged 16 to 64 has declined, with some year-to-year variations, since 1979.[1]
