Blaise M U.S. History Homework 10 Answer the first question, and then 4 out of the next 6 questions. We need one more question since the Scopes answer is off-topic

1. Pick a question that you missed on the midterm exam, and describe several different ways that you could have figured out the correct answer instead.

I could have read the cartoon, and seen that George McClellan was running for the Democractic Party. I wrote down “Democratic”, and I should have seen that it was “Republican”. I could have read the cartoon more closely and seen the flag.

Good analysis.

2. Write about any aspect of World War I, such as how the United States got involved, or how it ended.

It ended with the treaty of Versailles, which incidentally was the same treaty that caused World War II, since the Germans were annoyed about the treaty since they thought it took too much power against Germany This gave Hitler a chance to capture the German people’s emotions with his speeches.

Right.

3. Who was the most influential person of the time period in this lecture? Explain.

Theodore Roosevelt, he took a stand against monopolies, and he cared about world peace. He negotiated major treaties between the Japanese and the Russians, such as the Treaty of Parsmith. He was from out west, was not from the upper class, he was on the level of the common people just like Andrew Jackson, so he was very popular with the common people.
Excellent answer.

7. Explain the cartoon. The cartoon shows Theodore Roosevelt negotiating the Treaty of Parsmith TK SP, which ended the Russo-Japanese war, which was fought mainly on Chinese soil. It depicts Theodore as the Angel pinching Russia and Japan’s ears, while Russia and Japan are depicted as squabbling children

Correct.
Grade: 40/40. Great answers, but should there be a fifth answer also?
