Sawaran is a small village of 128 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sawaran depends on Phulpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sawaran's pin code is 221503[4], and village code is 05587000. The area of Sawaran is segregated as 105 hectares irrigated area, 8 hectares unirrigated area. the 12 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3 hectare area not available for cultivation.
The village is connected with a single bus service. Sawaran has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sawaran is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1654 and has total administration over 257 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 323 (19.53%) males constitute 168 (10.16%) of the population and females 155 (9.37%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 724 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 332 male, 392 female with 392 (54.14%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 217 males and 175 females. 112 males and 18 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 33 female agricultural labor. 332 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phulpur (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
