Semarai is a small village of 19 hectares in Ramnagar Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Semarai depends on sudhiamav, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Semarai's pin code is 225202[4], and village code is 05732200. The area of Semarai is segregated as 85 hectares irrigated area, 72 hectares unirrigated area. the 56 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 16 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Semarai has One post office (Semrai B.O). Semarai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Semarai is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1899 and has total administration over 301 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 22 (1.16%) males constitute 12 (0.63%) of the population and females 10 (0.53%).

According to a census 2011 report, 580 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 546 male, 34 female with 571 (98.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 538 males and 33 females. 485 males and 9 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 9 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of sudhiamav and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
