The flag of the Chechen Republic is currently the one used by the Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov. It is a rectangle with sides in the ratio 2:3, the same ratio as the flag of the Russian Federation. The flag is composed of three horizontal bars of, from top to bottom: green, representing Islam; white; and red; superimposed on them is a narrow vertical white band at the hoist side, containing a design of four golden scroll shapes.

The flag of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria is used by the Chechen people outside of the occupied Chechen territory, and has been used in various forms since 1991 by the Chechen people fighting for political, economic, social, and cultural independence. It is the sole flag recognized by the Chechen diaspora.
