Meson

From Conservapedia

Mesons are composite particles that are known as bosons on account of their integer spin, otherwise known as angular momentum. Mesons are composed of a quark-antiquark pair, held by the strong nuclear force (as mediated by gluons). They are responsible for mediating the strong force between protons and neutrons in the nuclei of atoms, holding the nuclei together.
