Jaraon is a small village of 379 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jaraon depends on IMIMGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jaraon's pin code is 212401[4], and village code is 05576900. The area of Jaraon is segregated as 196 hectares irrigated area, 40 hectares unirrigated area. the 107 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Jaraon has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jaraon is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 4255 and has total administration over 620 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 905 (21.27%) males constitute 469 (11.02%) of the population and females 436 (10.25%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1620 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 853 male, 767 female with 794 (49.01%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 517 males and 277 females. 232 males and 168 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 104 male and 34 female agricultural labor. 826 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of IMIMGANJ and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
