The San Francisco Giants are a Major League Baseball team in the National League, West Division. The San Francisco Giants are based in San Francisco, California. They were originally based in New York City (and called the New York Giants, not to be confused with the football team of the same name) until relocating in 1958 (along with the Los Angeles Dodgers, maintaining their rivalry).
