California exodus is the flight of top companies and their highest executives from liberal California, mostly to Texas.

The downside of the exodus is that the people continue to vote for the same failed policies, thus turning the other states into blue or at least purple ones. Nevada and Colorado are now solidly blue, as are some parts of Texas (mainly the Austin area), while other areas are purple (Collin County, just north of Dallas, has a higher turnout of Democrat voters than neighboring Denton County, even though the latter has two liberal universities in its boundaries).
