Basti is a small village of 679 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basti depends on Banki (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. The area of Basti is segregated as 490.002 hectares irrigated area, 21.45 hectares unirrigated area. the 29.95 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 127 hectare area not available for cultivation.
