Shekha is a small village of 96 hectares in Koil Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shekha depends on Jalali (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shekha's pin code is 202128[4], and village code is 01379300. The area of Shekha is segregated as 78 hectares irrigated area, 30 hectares unirrigated area. the 26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 66 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shekha has Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Shekha has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Shekha is a census village in the district of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 675 and has total administration over 135 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 285 (42.22%) males constitute 152 (22.52%) of the population and females 133 (19.70%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalali (NP) and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
