Arcadia

Arcadia was an ancient Greek region in central Peloponnese enclosed by mountains. The simple life of its rustic inhabitants amidst its pastures and fertile valleys was used by writers such as Sir Phillip Syndey as the ideal of innocent, virtuous living.
