Linen is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. It is more durable than cotton and naturally lint free. Its natural color is an off-white to tan and the fiber dyes well. Linen does tend to crease easily and the fibers break at sharp creases resulting in visible wear. In garments the cuffs, hems and collars are often reinforced with a lining to reduce wear.[1]
Linen is used for quality bedding, table cloths and dressmaking.[1]
