KARDOO is a small village of 5802 hectares in Suratgarh Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. KARDOO depends on SURATGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. KARDOO is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. KARDOO's pin code is 335804[4], and village code is 00300400. The area of KARDOO is segregated as 4625 hectares unirrigated, the 1007 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 170 hectare area not available for cultivation.

KARDOO is a census village in the district of Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2156 and has total administration over 353 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 873 (40.49%) males constitute 458 (21.24%) of the population and females 415 (19.25%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1288 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 706 male, 582 female with 737 (57.22%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 587 males and 150 females. 449 males and 54 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 74 male and 81 female agricultural labor. 551 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SURATGARH and Ganganagar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
