Khargapur is a small village of 135 hectares in Soraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khargapur depends on Soron Mb, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khargapur's pin code is 229412[4], and village code is 05406000. The area of Khargapur is segregated as 328 hectares irrigated area, 7 hectares unirrigated area. the 8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Khargapur has One post office (Serawan B.O) and One public telephone. Khargapur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Khargapur is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2144 and has total administration over 357 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Soron Mb and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
