State Police

From Conservapedia

In the United States, the State Police is the police agency of a state. The primary function of the State Police is to patrol the highways and unincorporated areas of the state that have little or no police force of its own. Of the 50 states only Hawaii does not have a designated State Police (although in many states in the south, the State Police is called the Highway Patrol or State Patrol) but the basic function is the same.
