Book Of Hours

A Book of Hours was a prayer book for private devotions of lay people, modeled on the Divine Office. Books of Hours were extremely popular during the fifteenth century, and more examples of them survive from the Middle Ages than of any other type of manuscript book.^[1]

Among the most famous are the Rohan and the de Berry Hours^[2]
