- pro-choice: favoring no limits on elective abortion
- motto: "Abortion is a woman's right to choose"
- pro-life: favoring limits on elective abortion
- anti-war: opposing a specific American military campaign
- "against the Vietnam War" implied a wish for the US to withdraw all its forces from Vietnam
- "Citizens for (something)": Corporate sponsors for certain political agendas, frequently left-wing.
