Balera is a small village of 1215 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Balera depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Balera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Balera's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02317300. The area of Balera is segregated as 1030 hectares unirrigated, the 120 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Balera has One post office (Balera B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Balera has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Balera is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1562 and has total administration over 290 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Balera has 325 children, 188 boys and 137 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 145 (9.28%) males constitute 77 (4.93%) of the population and females 68 (4.35%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 59 (3.78%) males constitute 29 (1.86%) of the population and females 30 (1.92%).

The workforce is 387 male, 373 female with 383 (50.39%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 310 males and 73 females. 269 males and 67 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 6 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 377 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
