Chaebol

From Conservapedia

Chaebol (Jaebeol) is a Korean term used to describe the large family-controlled conglomerates in South Korea.

Most chaebol date back since the post-Korean War period, when South Korea was growing financially. Most of them are multinational companies, having branches in countries such as Japan and the United States. There are many areas of business that the chaebol specialize in, including food, electronics and shipping.
