Shekhpur is a small village of 239 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shekhpur depends on Dewa (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Shekhpur's pin code is 225121[4], and village code is 05751600. The area of Shekhpur is segregated as 150 hectares irrigated area, 34.817 hectares unirrigated area.

Shekhpur has One post office (Dhaurahra B.O). Shekhpur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Shekhpur is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1431 and has total administration over 266 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 458 (32.01%) males constitute 244 (17.05%) of the population and females 214 (14.95%).

The workforce is 362 male, 72 female with 394 (90.78%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 336 males and 58 females. 202 males and 37 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 88 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 40 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dewa (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
