From Conservapedia An appeal to emotion is a fallacy which uses the manipulation of the recipient's emotions, rather than valid logic, to win an argument. The 'Appeal to Emotion' fallacy assumes that truth and positive emotions are aligned.[1] For example, homosexual activists arguing for same-sex "marriage" know that they cannot win on logic, so they play on the listeners' emotions to sway the listeners' judgment.
