Fariya is a small village of 654 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Fariya depends on Nizamabad (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Fariya's pin code is 223227[4], and village code is 08755500. The area of Fariya is segregated as 425 hectares irrigated area, 111 hectares unirrigated area. the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 77 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Fariya has One post office (Sanjar Pur S.O) and Twenty Eight public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Fariya has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Fariya is a census village in the district of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 10041 and has total administration over 1328 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 2688 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1963 male, 725 female with 1480 (55.06%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1268 males and 212 females. 626 males and 74 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 44 male and 30 female agricultural labor. 1208 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nizamabad (NP) and Azamgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
