Donora is a small town in western Pennsylvania.
In 1948 an air inversion trapped smog over the city for six days, resulting in 70 deaths and numerous lifelong illness among the other residents; the smog would result in air pollution controls being initiated for the first time.
Despite a small population it is home to two Major League Baseball Hall of Famers: Stan Musial and Ken Griffey, Jr.
