Petarha is a small village of 23.29 hectares in Nanpara Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Petarha depends on Mihipurwa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Petarha's pin code is 271855[4], and village code is 06432100. The area of Petarha is segregated as 5.25 hectares irrigated area. the 1.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Petarha has One public telephone. Petarha has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Petarha is a census village in the district of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2801 and has total administration over 470 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 382 (13.64%) males constitute 212 (7.57%) of the population and females 170 (6.07%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mihipurwa and Bahraich to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
