Salaiya is a small village of 340.8 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Salaiya depends on MURADGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,One canal and Two springs. Salaiya is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Salaiya's pin code is 206129[4], and village code is 04163500. The area of Salaiya is segregated as 299.43 hectares irrigated area. the 6.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
The village is connected with a single bus service. Salaiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Salaiya is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2594 and has total administration over 503 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 1088 (41.94%) males constitute 587 (22.63%) of the population and females 501 (19.31%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1111 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 816 male, 295 female with 832 (74.89%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 704 males and 128 females. 262 males and 53 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 426 male and 71 female agricultural labor. 279 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MURADGANJ and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
