Modiya is a small village of 3008 hectares in Kolayat Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Modiya depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Modiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Modiya's pin code is 334303[4], and village code is 00525200. The area of Modiya is segregated as 750 hectares irrigated area, 1500 hectares unirrigated, the 758 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
The village is connected with a single bus service. Modiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Modiya is a census village in the district of Bikaner, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 567 and has total administration over 110 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 6 (1.06%) males constitute 3 (0.53%) of the population and females 3 (0.53%).

According to a census 2011 report, 188 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 145 male, 43 female with 64 (34.04%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 60 males and 4 females. 54 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 124 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bikaner to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
