This page provides a list of President Joe Biden's (D) weekly addresses in his first 100 days in office. The practice of informal, regular presidential addresses was initiated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt (D) in 1933. Called fireside chats, these addresses covered a variety of domestic, economic, and foreign policy issues.[1]
President Ronald Reagan (R) renewed the practice, delivering more than 330 radio addresses during his presidency. Both Democratic and Republican presidents since have continued to deliver regular addresses to the public with varying consistency and formats.[2]
Biden released his first weekly address on February 6, 2021, as part of a series called "A Weekly Conversation."[3]
The following weekly address was released on May 1.
