Adriatic Sea

From Conservapedia

The Adriatic Sea is an arm of the Mediterranean Sea bounded by Italy to its west and the Balkan peninsula to its east. It is also known as 'the Bight of Lions'. For centuries its seaways were dominated by the Republic of Venice, which was known as 'the Queen of the Adriatic'. It is named after the port of Adria.
