Elections for the office of Maine House of Representatives were held in Maine on November 2, 2010. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in these elections was March 15 for candidates with partisan affiliations and June 1 for others. The primary Election Day was on June 8, 2010.
Members of the Maine House of Representatives are elected to two-year terms. They are subject to term limits of no more than four consecutive two-year terms.
Out of the 151 districts up for re-election, incumbents ran in 117 of them.
Democrats lost 22 seats as a result of the 2010 election. This lost them control of the house, giving Republicans a slight majority.

Term limits[edit]
- See also: State legislatures with term limits
The Maine House of Representatives has been a term-limited state house since Maine voters approved Question 1 in 1993. Under this law, state representatives can serve no more than four consecutive 2-year terms. The Maine State Legislature tried, unsuccessfully, in 2007 to get the state's voters to extend the number of years they could consecutively serve in office by putting the Maine Term Limits Extension act on the ballot. Voters overwhelmingly (67-33%) rejected it.
There are 153 state representatives in Maine. 21 of them, or 13%, termed out in 2010.
In addition to the 21 Maine state representatives who left office because of term limits, 4 Maine state senators also termed-out.
