Ballotpedia

From Conservapedia

Ballotpedia is an informative, non-profit, and mostly non-partisan website that largely gathers and lists data on U.S. elections in addition to political officeholders and candidates. Powered by MediaWiki,[1] the site was launched in 2007 and is sponsored by the Lucy Burns Institute.[2]

Occasional liberal bias[edit]

While mostly nonpartisan, Ballotpedia once in a while shows examples of liberal bias, such as asserting the strongly conservative Todd Akin to be “far-right” based on a GovTrack chart with no specific labels on the axes.[3] In addition, the website repeated the misleading and mostly false assertion that liberal Democrat Haley Stevens served as the “chief of staff” of Barack Obama's auto “rescue”[4] when documents stated that Stevens was merely a “special assistant” and “confidential assistant”.[5]
